Tim Borroff

29's Head Coach

BIOgraphy

Tim Borroff serves as the Head Coach for Samurai’s 2029 team and brings six years of experience within the program, along with an extensive background in both playing and coaching at multiple levels.

A former attackman, Tim played at Eureka High School from 2011–2014 before continuing his collegiate career at Missouri Baptist University (MBU) from 2015–2018, where he earned All-Conference honors. He also competed at the semi-professional level in box lacrosse with the Bluecats and Mastodons, further expanding his understanding of the game.

Tim has built an impressive coaching résumé beyond Samurai. He served as Offensive Coordinator at Eureka High School from 2015–2021 and currently leads the program as Head Coach (2022–present). At the collegiate level, he was the Offensive Coordinator at MBU from 2020–2022, and he has also contributed on the club circuit as the West Coast Starz 2027 Navy coach in 2024.

His coaching achievements include being named MSLA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2019, and he currently serves as the MSLA Vice President of Discipline (2024–present).

Tim’s coaching philosophy centers on resilience and character, emphasizing that players should define themselves by how they respond to adversity. He also believes in maintaining perspective and gratitude, often reminding his teams, “It’s great to be here.”

Outside of lacrosse, Tim enjoys hiking and spending time on the golf course—despite claiming he’s still working on his game. A fun fact: he has lived in four different states and was born in Syracuse, New York.
